A Study of Body Image, Self-esteem and Depression in Girls with Precocious Puberty and Normal Girls

The study was to compare body image and levels of self-esteem and depression between girls with precocious puberty and normal girls and identify relations between variables. As results, there was a significant differences of body image, self-esteem and depression between the two groups. The two groups showed that body image had a positive correlation with self-esteem and self-esteem had a negative correlation with depression. This study can be used as basic data for understanding of children with precocious puberty and for development of nursing intervention to promote their psychosocial health.
